The area
 The Case Morello are located in an area known as S. Onofrio, between the small town of Trabia and the village of San Nicola, both renowned for their castles. Trabia, with 9,000 inhabitants, is well known for its ‘gardens’ of red medlars. The town, laid out on geometric lines, was founded in 1634 over a site of Arab origin. After the closure of the tuna fishery of the Prince of Trabia, which made use of local boats, today the town thrives with agricultural, commercial and seaside industries. San Nicola is an ancient fishing village, with a small, well-equipped tourist harbour.
 The complex is about one hour from Palermo’s airport and half an hour from Palermo City Centre.
From Case Morello it is easy to reach Monreale, Cefalù, Caccamo and its castle, the ruins of Imera with its important archaeological remains and other places of artistic and natural beauty.
 Interesting excursions and walks may be taken through deep gorges populated by a variety of birds and wildlife. A splendid view opens up from the hill ‘Suvarita’, towards the ancient hunting reserve of the Marquis Artale and along the coast, down to the medieval bridge over the river San Leonardo. The clear waters above the Rosamarina dam are embedded between the natural reserves of Pizzo Cane and Monte S. Calogero. The Golf Club ‘Le Madonie’, one of the most beautiful golf courses in Italy, is only 30 km away.
